Ladies Guild

The Guild is an independent, self-funding group who meet monthly, usually on the last Thursday of the month to discuss ongoing church matters, socialise, hear from visiting speakers and much more. Our meetings are open to everyone and we meet in the church hall. There is an elected Chair and Vice Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer and Social Secretary. These posts are held for as long as the person wishes to continue in office and is supported by the group. Subscription is £5 per year and £2 for tea and the raffle at each meeting. Visitors are always welcome. The dates of the meetings and details of the visiting speaker are advertised in the weekly church newsletter a week before the meeting.

The Guild joins in friendship with similar church groups in the PE4 Peterborough area which are: The Mothers’ Union at St John’s Church Werrington and Paston All Saints Church; the Tuesday Fellowship at Brookside Methodist Church; The Way Family Church, Werrington; The Open Door Centre in Gunthorpe; The Eye Contact Friendship Group, Eye.

Once a year we visit 3 of the other local churches for an Ecumenical service. We host one ourselves in April/May.

We are happy to welcome new members at any time. Just turn up and we shall soon get to know you and you to know us.
