Gardening Team

The busy gardening team are involved all year round in the many tasks listed to care and look after the outside spaces of the church, to be welcoming and provide colour and perfume as you enter and leave the church.  

Among the many jobs to be done are: 

• The borders and alongside the church buildings and fences require regular weeding.
• Lawn mowing
• Litter picking
• Pruning and dead heading roses
• Pruning shrubs
• Cutting back smaller plants
• Planting and watering pots
• Planting alongside the ramp
• Looking after the presbytery gardens, front and back

The two or three people who do this work would welcome any help, even if you are not an experienced gardener and they are willing to support and help you to learn the various tasks. Commitment can be just an hour a week, or more if possible.  Tea, coffee and biscuit breaks are provided and are an essential part of the experience.
