Liturgical Music Groups

The music group meets weekly to practise for Mass settings in the following weeks. Hymn and Mass settings that complement the Proper of the Mass are chosen for the liturgical season and the theme of each Mass, considering the readings and scriptures of the revised liturgy for each Mass. Traditional, popular and new hymns are included. New hymns are led by the music group and introduced to the congregation so all may participate.  

For some holydays, especially Christmas and Easter, extra practices take place welcoming anyone who can sing, to swell the numbers for these special occasions. Maybe you could join in for one of these to see if you might want to sing regularly?  

The group consists of singers and musicians and welcomes all those who wish to join. The group meets 30 minutes before Mass to set up and prepare. All music sheets, words in the Laudate hymn book and music stands are provided.   

The congregation join in with words from the hymn book or printed lyric sheets.
